Hello Toler Families,
I am Kristina Campisi and I am honored to serve as the principal of Toler Elementary. I am excited to meet all of you and for the incredible year ahead!
I grew up in the small farming town of Camarillo, California, where I attended elementary through high school. From a young age, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I live locally with my husband, and we have two wonderful daughters in college. When I’m not at school, you can often find me at the beach or doing Pilates, two of my favorite ways to recharge.
Over the past 20+ years, I have had the privilege of serving as a teacher, instructional leader, and administrator. Most recently, I served as an administrator in the Del Mar Union School District and then as Assistant Principal at Doyle Elementary here in San Diego Unified.
I am honored to work alongside such an incredible team. Toler is a school rich in tradition, with a dedicated, innovative staff who care deeply about our students and families. Our teachers collaborate to design engaging, rigorous, and joyful learning experiences. Their passion for education and unwavering commitment to the success of every child makes Toler a truly exceptional place to learn and grow.
As an educator, I believe every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and heard. My goal is to continue the work to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment where students develop strong foundational skills, think critically, and learn to collaborate as problem-solvers. I am also committed to supporting our English Learners and Special Education students, ensuring every child has the tools they need to thrive.
At Toler Elementary, we are not only preparing students academically but also inspiring them to be curious, compassionate, and confident learners. Together with our amazing staff, incredible families, and supportive community, we will continue Toler’s proud tradition of excellence and make this school year one of growth, joy, and Dolphin Pride!
